Day 27
Do you need a catch up day?
To Start
A moment of silence.
Pray
Lord, reveal to me how to spend my time today. Guide my thoughts. Lead me closer to Your heart.

We are officially 64% through our Hebrews 11 journey. Maybe you’re struggling a bit to keep up. Maybe you wish you had more time to sit with some of the truth you’re discovering. Maybe you just need a day of quiet. Here are four ways you might use your meditation time today (pick one):
Spend 15-20 minutes in silence. Don’t read anything. Don’t say anything. Just sit in God’s presence.
Go back to one of the verses you can’t stop thinking about. Re-read that day’s email. Ask God to show you what you haven’t yet seen. (If you skipped a day or read quickly to check the box, go back and give that day your full attention.)
Read the comments. The comments section is a trove of wisdom and experience. If you’ve been skipping it, go back and spend some time reading and responding. You might feel led to pray for the men and women sharing their hearts and wisdom.
If you’re a parent, consider that so much of our reading this week has centered on the faithfulness of fathers and mothers.
We saw Abraham offering his son, recognizing that God can be trusted (and that his son doesn’t belong to him but to God).
We saw Isaac and Jacob blessing the next generation, believing and proclaiming God’s promised faithfulness.
We saw Moses’ parents protecting him from evil with no fear.
Spend some intentional time today considering what it looks like for you to parent “by faith.” Where are you excelling at this? Where are you faithless (or faith-light)? Ask God to reveal to you the state of your parenting. Spend time in prayer asking God to make you a faith-filled parent.
May the Spirit lead you into revelation, challenge, and comfort today! May Yahweh shine His face upon you and give you peace.
Godspeed,
JL

Thank you. I've missed a day here and there and then had to catch up - reminds me of something I saw year ago on a Mary Engelbreit calendar: "Life Is Just So Daily". I appreciate the opportunity to take some time to go back and spend quiet time thinking about some of the things I've read.
One day at a time, sweet Jesus…this is my theme song most days.
